The Cooperation Committee for Cambodia (CCC) is the leading and longest-established membership organization for local and international NGOs in Cambodia. Since 1990, CCC has been working to strengthen the cooperation, accountability and development effectiveness of civil society organizations in Cambodia, and to promote inclusive partnership between government, civil society organizations, development partners, and private sector for sustainable development in Cambodia. CCC is now seeking the qualified Cambodian candidates for the position below:

 

Policy and Advocacy Specialist (One Post)

 

The Policy and advocacy specialist is responsible for promoting enabling environment for development actors, especially for civil society organizations toward sustainable development in Cambodia. S/he will work in partnership with all stakeholders including NGOs who were selected to join the Technical Working Groups and to join the annual government-CSO consultation; development partners/ UN country team, private sectors, INGO-LNGO for policies dialogues at both national and sub-national levels. S/he will be managing information related law-policies-plan-mechanisms developed by RGC, DPs, UN; and preparing other materials to support advocacy efforts, case management on regards to national development plan-policy-legal/law-regulation-mechanisms.

Save the Date + Call for Abstracts

2nd Conference on Direct Social Service

September 8 and 9, 2015 in Phnom Penh

 

Organized by Chab Dai Coalition, with technical support from Department of Social Work, Royal University of Phnom Penh.

The conference aims to strengthen networking and capacity building of practitioners providing direct service in Cambodia via creating opportunity for them to share skills and expertise as well as to discuss how to address certain challenges and difficulties encountered in their daily practices. Building from previous years, we will emphasis on “Social Service with Victims/Survivors of Human Trafficking, Violence, and Sexual Abuse".              

 

Abstracts wanted:

All types of research and programming relevant to social service with victims/survivors of human trafficking, violence, and sexual abuse. The following topics are preferred: 

·      Theories and Practices in Social Direct Services

·       Models of case management

·       Models of counseling with specific populations (i.e. CBT, EMDR, Art Therapy. etc.)

·       Competency development with specific skills identified (i.e. Relaxation techniques, how to build trust with survivor/victim of trafficking…)

·          Innovative programs, techniques or practices (i.e. Models of rehabilitation program, legal support, vocational trainings, etc.)

·          Research and statistics applies to practice (i.e. child abuse, violence against women and children, etc.)
