Background

The Cambodian Children’s Advocacy Foundation (CCAF) is a Cambodian Non-Governmental Organization. It was established in early 2006. The purpose was to create an NGO to provide a means to educate children, help in the reduction of poverty by addressing it's root causes, and to assist the Cambodian government in providing services for the most vulnerable segments of Cambodian society. CCAF strives to combine early childhood education, varied community development programs, and economic assistance to address the root causes of rural poverty. The Cambodian Children’s Advocacy Foundation is registered with the Ministry of Interior (License # 419, dated March 28, 2006) of the Royal Government of Cambodia.

Value

CCAF believes and adhere to work in: Equality, teamwork, loyalty, quality, effectiveness, integrity, dignity, dependability, flexibility, empowerment, responsibility, accuracy, accountability, friendliness, learning, collaboration, optimism, empathy, persistency, respect, wisdom and security.

Mission

To support the children in the areas of education, intervention and the prevention of child labor, trafficking and oppression. To ensure future success, the nutrition and health of these children must be upgraded. Additionally, skills must be developed to enable mothers and their children to generate an income for their families. Our approach to the problems of Cambodia's poor, is four-fold.

Vision

We wish to see children receive adequate educational program, have the capability to become economically self-sufficient and to contribute to society in a sustainable way. Our vision for Cambodia's future, is of a country whose children grow up knowing and appreciating the value of education, sustainable organic farming and livestock rearing, and understand proper health and sanitation practices.
