Overview

The Center for Social Development (CSD) was established in 1995 and registered as an NGO with the Council of Ministers in June 1995, and re-acknowledged by the Ministry of Interior in 2001.

Background

CSD is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, which seeks to promote democratic values and improve the quality of life of the Cambodian people through practical research, training, and advocacy, awareness-raising and public debate. CSD envisages a prosperous, peaceful and harmonious Cambodia - the kind of society that will support moral values and technological and social modernization.

The mission of CSD shall be the elimination of all corruption and the promotion of transparency and implementation of accountability in all levels and all aspects of Cambodian society through good governance and concerted efforts of all positive forces of the country, guided by the principles of neutrality, independence, and non-partisanship.

The Center for Social Development (CSD) envisions a prosperous, peaceful and harmonious Cambodia; the kind of prosperity, peace and harmony that will support moral values and technological and social modernization. CSD seeks to promote democratic values and improve quality of life for all Cambodian people.
