Background

WALTZING AROUND CAMBODIA stems from the desire of some families in Turin that have adopted Cambodian children to create a "cultural bridge" and bring our small or large contribution in a social context particularly difficult: Cambodia. What we try to do is realize the generosity of so many people in small interventions on behalf of children in a country, Cambodia, which is one of the poorest in Asia: some 34% of its population lives on less than a dollar a day and about half the children are malnourished. Among them, an eighth dies before reaching the fifth year of life, largely due to preventable diseases. WALTZING AROUND CAMBODIA can not solve the world's injustices nor guarantee all children their rights denied on a daily basis, what we try to show is that, if desired, all of us can do something to improve this situation, day by day, child after child.
