Overview

RACHANA was established in March 1994, registered with Ministry of Interior in September 1994 and re-registered with MOI in December 2013 .It is a Local Non-government Organization and non-political party. It is working to enhance the health status, food productions, income generations, gender equity, and environmental conditions of poor families and vulnerable groups in rural areas of Cambodia.

Background

Rachana is a local NGO, which is created in 1994 by working closely with vulnerable people in rural area of Cambodia. Rachana, the Khmer means to be creative and artistic. Rachana’s works are related to Health, Agriculture and Education issues. Rachana is working in Takeo Province, 5 Districts, 33 Communes, 326 Villages, with 404,302 Ps (F=207,650) Rachana has 28 staff members (F=11) (7 medical background staffs, 4 agronomists, 1 veterinarian, and the rest is…). Rachana has five main projects: 1- Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Education is donated by Terre des Homme Netherlands (TdH-NL) supports by Terre des Homme Netherlands 2- Home Based Care (HBC) supports by KHANA 3- Sustainable Agriculture with Climate Chang Adaptation (SACCA) supports by Oxfam. 4- Socio-economic well-being for poor families and vulnerable communities in Cambodia (SWP) supports by Oxfam Novib.; 5-Promoting Access to Health Services for Marginalize Group.(PAHS) supports by MEDICAM/EC.
