VADDHANAK’s mission is to help increase skills and capacity of people in rural community so that they are able to help themselves, their family and to provide quality training in community development to staff/officers and NGOs to enable them to effectively implement and lead (manage) their work

Background

VADDHANAK is a center for community development, which originated from Cambodia Development Program. This program was designed in 1992 with support from University of Massachusetts Foundation. Started with funding from USAID, this program started its activities by conducting training for community and implementing several development programs. The UMF-supported Cambodia Development Program changed itself to a Khmer non-governmental organization in April 1996 and was registered as a Khmer non-governmental organization with the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Cambodia in September 1996.
