Oxfam in Cambodia is an International Non Governmental Organisation working for Voices for Change, Resilience and Natural Resource Governance.

Background

In Cambodia, Oxfam is recognized as one of the leading and well-respect international NGOs. Oxfam has been working in Cambodia for more than 30 years and we’re committed to ensuring that this culturally rich and inspiring country works its way out of poverty. Oxfam was among the first group of NGO’s to provide aid to Cambodia after the collapse of the Khmer Rouge in 1979. Over the years, we have teamed with local partners, community groups and government across all 24 provinces. We work with partners on the promotion and protection of human rights, women’s economic empowerment, building community micro-finance institutions, responsible management of natural resources, and disaster risk reduction and adaptation to climate change.

We use a combination of rights-based sustainable development and influencing strategies to work with partners on the promotion and protection of human rights, women's economic empowerment, building community resilience, and responsible management of natural resources.

Vision

Our vision is to help build a resilient society free from poverty and injustice by empowering women and youth to hold government, and others with power, accountable for what they do, helping people realize their rights.

Goal

Our purpose is to help create lasting solutions to the injustice of poverty. We are part of a global movement for change, empowering people to create a future that is secure, just, and free from poverty.
