Background

CTGA is the Tourist Guide Association in Cambodia, was established on November 11, 2009 and officially has been listed by Cambodia Ministry of Interior on September 3, 2015 with reference No 1762, aim to help provide sustainable jobs to our members who have been trained and working as the professional tourist guides career in both cities Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. We have cooperated closely with the Travel Agents, private-sectors, organizations and government in order to receive all information from our government’s policy about how to help reduce poverty and to help protect the Amazing World Heritage through Tourism Industry. So far we have more than 500 tourist guide members with all different languages in our Association and we have been providing a lot of jobs to them as well. All of our members have been trained and have attended many short courses training by UNESCO, Apsara Authority and Ministry of Tourism. Most of our Tourist Guide members have been traveled to all the tourist attraction sites in Cambodia, especially to the Cultural sites in Phnom Penh, Ta Keo, Kampong Cham, Kampong Thom, Preah Vihear, Battambang and Siem Reap provinces and to Ecotourism Region that located northeast and southwest of Cambodia such as Kratie, Steung Treng, Ratanak Khiri, Mondol Khiri, Sihanuk Ville and Koh Kong provinces. We are very expertized in arrange the trip to the above attraction sites mentioned. As the results, the benefit of 10% from the travelers who chose our services or to travel with us, we have been using for giving back to the poor communities and people by we help build many clean water wells, buy bicycles for the school kids at the remote countryside. Beside these projects we also focus to the education system as one of the most important factors. As you know after Cambodia country went through the war for over 30 years, everything was destroyed such as infrastructure, hospitals and especially the education system and human resources.
