Background

CED is a Cambodian NGO that was established in 1997 was registered with the Ministry of Interior on 19 November 1998 . CED began working in Prek Saman Commune in Chhlong District , Kratie ( one of the current target Communes ) In 1998 , with support from ACR ( Australian Catholic Relief ) , focusing on health , agriculture , and AGDs ( affinity group for Development ) . At present , CED began to work have 16 village in Damrei Pong Kompong Damrei and Prek Saman Communes , chhlong District 18 village in sambo district , kratie Province and 8 village in Dombe & Memot District , kompong cham Province and fund received from NGO forum, Canada Fund , HKI , SADP , Oxfam/GB . CED fulfils its mission through activities related to : 1. Environment watch , advocacy and action for conservation of forest 2.Food security through home gardening and animal husbandry 3.ncome generation by affinity group savings , cash credit and rice bank loans 4.Primary health education and village health care and nutrition 5.Advocacy to end violence against women and to support women’s empowerment

CED vision wishes to assist the rural poor community in Cambodia to improve the Human Resources, Health, and Economic Development. So those people have been valued on quality of life through democratic implementation, transparency and encourage the community to participate with decision-making, rights respect, independence, compassion, facilitation, solidarity and cooperation forward to the development and sustainable manner.
