Our work in Cambodia over the past decade-plus has been multifaceted. Like many nations, Cambodia is striving to balance the need to provide economic opportunity to its citizens while also protecting essential forests and ecosystems. Our programs encourage collaboration between local government, businesses, NGOs and citizen leaders on critical land-management decisions, while providing objective information to guide those choices. Winrock is also a partner in Cambodia’s efforts to reduce poverty through market-oriented agriculture and to combat the scourge of human trafficking.
