Overview

Organization’s description CBO is locally NGO, registered with the council of Ministers in 2001 and with the Ministry of Interior in 2002, CBO has sufficient human resources including an Executive Director, a program Manager, an administrative support staffs and finance and the project staffs who are committed and are responsible for implementing and monitoring the project in all aspects. Moreover, CBO receives technical support from various advisors such as 1-PHD-Hamish Nixon (Mr.), Canadian, External Advisor, 2- His Excellency Truong Mealy, former chief of King Father Cabinet and former Cambodian Ambassador to Japan who have long experience in development in Cambodia. They will provide technical advice to CBO including organizational development, establishment of monitoring & evaluation tools on the impacts/results, analysis and reports on the aspects of the projects. Mission: * Working to pursue self-managed development of the poor, the CBO is concerned with economic, violence and social problems solving, Motivating both men and women to take a part equally in community decision-making and promoting sustainable development, Contributing to the poor people and vulnerable groups in our target areas through capacity building, brainstorming, training, networking and advocacy in order to reduce poverty and to enable communities to improve their food security, to promote health and well-being, and to build trust, love and creative hope

Background

The returnee, teachers and professors who have various experiences on Human Rights, Human trafficking, Community Development, Environment, Integrated agriculture, Vocational generation training, Water/hygiene, National Resource Management and HIV/AIDS, We came together to found Cambodian Building Organization (CBO) in order to empower the marginalized, vulnerable groups in our target areas who consist in majority of former returnee families living in Battambang province, the third largest province hard-hit by the prolonged civil war in Cambodia
