Background

Recent history has shown that when a resource windfall is properly managed, it can stimulate economic growth, decrease poverty and fund improvements in infrastructure. All too often, however, countries have suffered negative effects from the industry, including increased poverty and inequality, environmental degradation and political and social instability. Since January, 2008, Cambodians for Resource Revenue Transparency (CRRT) has been working with the government, regulatory agencies and fellow members of civil society to encourage the creation of fair and equitable laws, policies and procedures governing the extractive industries that will benefit all of Cambodia for generations to come.

Mission

To make income and spending of oil, gas and mining revenues transparent for all Cambodians.

Vision

For wealth generated by the extractive industries to be managed in a socially responsible manner that is transparent, accountable, and participatory to equitably benefit all Cambodians.
