Johanniter International Assistance is committed to the humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, independence and impartiality, and covers most of the basic needs of those affected by handing out relief goods and food, and by ensuring access to clean water and primary health care. Read more about our Focus here Providing international assistance is one of the statutory tasks of Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe, and is implemented by its international assistance department at Johanniter headquarters in Berlin. In 2015 the team of Johanniter International Assistance was composed of 444 full-time staff members in 15 regional and country offices and Berlin. Read more about our Organisation Structure here Whenever possible, Johanniter teams collaborate with partner and sister organisations. In countries without Johanniter presence, local initiatives and organisations play an important role implementing projects on Johanniter’s behalf.
