Overview

Community Translation Organization (CTO) is a local organization working on community development in Cambodia with head office in Siem Reap provinces. CTO is working with vulnerable people who are excluded from national social safety net. we are working with poor rural people their community to empower them socially, economically and spiritually. Our aim is to help them to transform the vulnerability to possibility and prosperity by transforming their awareness into actions.

Background

HR Empire was founded in 1996 to provide businesses with office staffing solutions with integrity, honesty and absolute professionalism each and every time. Locally owned and located in the heart of Phoenix, we serve the entire Metropolitan Phoenix Valley area. We are located near the Metro Light Rail (Thomas & Central Station) for the convenience of many who utilize this system. We have been ranked in the Phoenix Business Journal in the Top 25 under Temporary Help Services. We have been ranked in the Arizona Business Magazine’s Top Ten, Ranking Arizona, in both Temporary Staffing and Perm Placement categories. The firm owner is a certified professional in staffing by the National Association of Personnel Services. HR Empire is certified as a SBE by the City of Phoenix and a DBE by Arizona Unified Program.

Mission

To participate in community poverty reduction and economy development through developing infrastructure, agriculture, natural resources management, ecotourism, environment, educational and livelihood improvement.

CTO has been working to alleviate poverty in rural communities of Cambodia in partnership development agencies and government agencies such as UNDP, World Food Program, Oxfam America, AusAID, WEEFFECT, Engineer Without Border, Advance Engineering, and ActionAID Cambodia for the government agencies we are working closely with department of agriculture, department of water resources meteorologies, department of women’s affair.We focus on building civil democraticcommunity based organization (CBOs) such SHG, VSLA, Farmer Cooperative and other women based or led grassroot groups to promote their social and economical right and voice and building their capacity, so that these CBO’s can work as representatives and interest of poor members mainly women, most vulnerable people, Ethnic minorities.

We believe that poor and vulnerable people can work to improve their social and economical status when they are given practical knowledge, skills, and needed tools.Then CTO is working to translate their obtained knowledge, skills into actions, we call it empowerment. Translation Awareness Into Action, that is how we got our name “Community Translation” .
