Overview

Buddhism and Democracy (B&D) wants to have a society with peace, welfare, food security and people with strong solidarity, respect for human rights and law and active participation of people across all walks of life in the effective promotion and practice of democracy in a transparent and sustainable manner. The Buddhism and Democracy (B&D) is non-profit, neutral, non-political organization, and does not serve any political parties. All Organization’s activities are in accordance with the constitutions of the Kingdom of Cambodia and existing laws being followed in Cambodia. All activities are directed and geared towards respect of human rights, existing laws, democracy and development of the society.

Mission

Buddhism and Development mission is: 1. To contribute to building a society and promotion of democracy by means of education, training and extending. 2.To cooperate with concerned national and international institutions and organizations to solve social problems and especially problems of human rights abuse. B &D aims to: To reduce human rights abuses and encourage people to actively participate and help building and strengthening democracy and respect for human rights and law, and developing interests among them based on democracy to ensure a good process.
