Overview

The ABC is dedicated to the rehabilitation of the blind in Cambodia, regardless of their gender, socio-economic, religious and cultural background. The ABC is a non-profit and non-political Association. ABC is a self-help body made up of blind and visually impaired persons as members.

Background

The Association of the Blind in Cambodia (ABC) was established officially since 2000 as national umbrella organization for Blind and Visually Impaired people. ABC is official registered with Ministry of Interior, Council Minister and signed MOU with Ministry of Social Affairs, Venterans and Youth Rehabilitation. ABC is all so a member of WUB, WBUAP, WBUAP Massagge Commission, member of IBSA and member of ICEVI.

Mission

Works partnership with government particularly Ministry of Social Affair, Venterant and Youth Rehabilitation, all level of authorities , INGOs, LNGOs and stakeholders for inclusive people with disabilities, particularly Blind and Visually Impaired people in to their development plan through advocacy, training for increasing of their capacity and their abilities and to promote full participation in society.

Vision

The Association of the Blind in Cambodia will ensure equal services include qualities of life to Blind and Visually Impaired people in Cambodia.

Goal

The Association of the Blind in Cambodia is an Association of blind and visually impaired Cambodians established to promote and foster equal opportunities and full participation in society of Cambodia's blind.
