We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Finance Intern based in Phnom Penh for a USAID-funded Innovations for Social Accountability in Cambodia (ISAC) and to support the Finance and Operation Team. The project focuses on expanding citizen participation and collective action for the improvement of public services, through increased access to information, analysis, dialogue, and the use of social accountability tools. This position will support finance tasks as assigned by the ISAC finance team and will work in collaboration with the grant and program team as well.

  Finance Intern(2 Positions)

One Finance Intern will provide support to the Senior Finance Officer to review the supporting document for the ISAC project and one more will support Operation Team. The intern will report to the Senior Finance Officer.

Key Responsibilities and Contributions:

 

Under the overall guidance of the Senior Finance Officer, the Finance Intern shall perform the following duties:

  • Assist with daily financial tasks, filing, and activities related to financial documents.
  • Assist in reviewing supporting documents from meetings, training, and workshops after program implementation activities.
  • Assist in the PDA system for processing procurement requests and grantees' expenses under the ISAC project.
  • Assist in reviewing and verifying grantees’ expenditure reports including supporting documentation (i.e. invoices, receipts, and proof of payments).
  • Assist in reviewing the travel expenditure report for ISAC staff.
  • Organize and maintain all records and files by national, FHI 360, and donor requirements.
  • Assist with scanning/copying all supporting documents monthly.
  • Assist in supporting the Operation Team with finance and admin tasks.
  • Be able to travel to the project sites.

Education/Experience/Other Requirements:

 

  • Fresh graduate or undergraduate student (at least in Year 3) in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and Finance software.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English and Khmer
  • High commitment to learning during the internship.
  • Demonstrated willingness to travel in Phnom Penh and to provinces for field visits/monitoring.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn by doing.
  • Demonstrated work flexibility and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Demonstrated good communication and teamwork.
